What do photographers do when there is “down time?”
Well, for most photographers, photography isn’t something you put down or stick in a drawer for a little while and come back to it later. There never is really any “down time.”
We are always refining our craft in the art of photography.
I believe that creating great photographs goes beyond an enjoyable past time… it becomes an obsession.
Obsession…
… to find the perfect lighting
… to purchase then next piece of technology that will help creating easier or more fun
… to get the exposure right the first time, every time
… to create that one set of images that will tell any story perfectly, forever!
We take classes, attend seminars and watch hours upon hours of tutorials.
We buy film and shoot a whole roll of our dogs to test and find the perfect film and become experts at how to use it.
We flip through every single user manual, “dummies guides” and how-to books we can get our hands on… and memorize what pages has what profound piece of information.
There is a fine line between love and obsession.
I love photography.
I am obsessed with creating a great photograph.
